Gary Gygax, el creador de Dungeons & Dragons (Dragones y Mazmorras), y de la difunta TSR (absorbida por Wizards of the Coast) murió ayer a los 69 años de edad de un aneurisma.

Como Aficionados a los Juegos de Rol, dediquemos unos cinco minutos de silencio por aquel que hace ya 35 años inició un hobby al que dedicamos mucho de nuestro tiempo.

Para los que aún se interesan por cierta ambientación que se cuece desde hace una temporada. comunícoles que se sigue gestando. La buena noticia es que el mapa famoso ya esta casi finalizado. junto con el sistema planetario y el cluster estelar al que pertenece Dana (el sistema en el que se encuentra Ardunia). La verdad, el cielo nocturno es espectacular Existe una área , el "Manto de Dana", que ocupa casi todo el hemisferio norte.

Para todo esto he usado la siguietne suite de creacion de mapas:

Pues si. Me ha dado un pronto y ahora estoy liberándome de la porquería que he acumulado en los ultimos 10 años. Cuando uno acaba hasta los mismos de ciertas situaciones, no hay nada más satisfactorio que investigar tus cajas de mudanza acumuladas en casa de tus papás (frustacion grande cuando eres de la edad de Cristo y debes volver al nido por motivos económicos) y decir "¡A TOMAR POR SACO CON ESTO!",lanzándolo desde un tercer piso.

Y luego ir a visionar una película de la que sabes que tendrás toda la sala para tí, que pasas mucho de socializar, y sonreir un poco con lo cabrona pero bonita que es la vida.

Well for starters you wouldn't be reading this if sputnik had not existed, as ARPA, who created ARPAnet was founded october 1957 as a response to the "Red Menace". One match point for Space Age :)

It also allowed people to look up and think. "Hey! we can go spacey!" and then create a new trend in culture. We as whole in the industrial bit of mother earth wouldnt be the same without this litle ball flying over our heads.

And of course, there would be no google earth..,

For me this litle ball was and is a breakthrough, a needle in the balloon of ignorance and isolationism. It forces to make you move, as it shows that in space there are NO boundaries, no frontiers. So lift up a beer and shout SPUTNIK! tonight, and when you look at the stars next time, think how the sky changed 50 years ago.

After a year without posting anything, I am back!

Not that I had much to put on a positive side on my blog. Currently I am planning an update on the Ardunia world rpg background, with the planetary level map and nightviews being on its way and looking good! (in colour, of course)

On my particular matters , I have started another jobhunt. Yes, six months ago the company that i worked for was "bankrupted", so i went redundant. Well, with time as judge, I feel it was a necessary step for me to get out of there. Now my brain and motivations are clearer and cleaner. Losing my optimism for a job is something that I am not going to allow to happen again. Plus I have learned a lot about job psychology... Lessons you learn lessons you do not forget

As a bonus, my now cute ex girlfriend decided that I was not reliable enough for her and decided to give it a break and a thought. So back to the start box and search for another soulmate.. duh! At least I lost some weight due to that :)) So ladies, this cat is back (yeah like if I was going to get a date through here XD )...

La campaña de Ardunia algo accidentada esta.

No se dirigio la fase que esperaba, pero al menos tengo jugadores en reserva y estos estan ampliando el mundo por otro lado, a quasi 2000 kilometros de donde tenia pensado emplazar la partida.

En Resumen :

Orgun Aradio (Toni Garrido) y su afligido por los porrazos compañero Noreed Kimiro(Juanjo Melero/Toni Maura) tras causar el caos (como siempre) en el puerto de Kalpaurya, han conseguido escabullirse de la guardia. Ya sea por beneplácito de Morghaun o de Eir, el caso es que los dos delante del templo de la muerte vigilante están, y han decidido cambiar sus vestimentas por otras menos llamativas y "odorosas".

Mientras tanto al norte, Namau Argaud (Julian "Zinc" Liras) intenta como buenamente puede mantener la moral de los pocos hombres que le quedan y sobrepasar la filas de la hueste Marvosya que amenaza arrollar las defensas de Kalpaurya. Por fortuna, parece ser que el valiente joven que voluntario se ofreció en avisar del inminente peligro a la ciudad, consiguió su cometido y ahora la ciudad alertada está, y prosiguiendo la alarma su camino hacia la capital. Ahora lo único que queda es llegar a la seguridad de las murallas y defender la ciudad de este difícil asedio. Dura tarea pero nada que no puedan conseguir unos aguerridos veteranos de estas tierras. Por Drakus, Vael y Vagadonaego que lo conseguirán. Zykranya!

That's it , after nearly 12 years of faithful service , mi SEAT IBIZA 1.2 GLX died due to sheer bad luck from my part.

Nothing like bashing your car against a delivery truck to screw up your life expectations.

In any case , now I will need to get a new car. At least it will be newer, but as my treasury is rather scant, it wil probably have its "twerks"

Aventuras en Ardunia: 19 de Febrero prosiguen

¿Y este post a que viene?

Ardunia es la ambientación planeada por un servidor para ser vehículo de promoción de mi principal afición (el rol).

Actualmente esta en estado "Beta", y lleva ya gestandose dos años. Debido al volumen de trabajo que genera para centrarme y visualizar esta mi pequeña creación, actualmente ejecuto "mini-campañas" para desarrollar aspectos como la interacción de personajes y la descripción de lugares, convirtiendo las ideas y sueños que corren por mi cabeza sobre este peculiar mundo en pequeñas estampas y realidades contadas. De ahí las "Visiones de Ardunia"que titulan este blog

El pasado 17 de Diciembre, hice la introducción "oficial" a la ambientación. He de decir que con bastantes nervios , pero con bastante emoción. Como viene siendo habitual ultimamente en mis partidas, los personajes empezaron a la carrera y perseguidos. Y como todo buen capítulo piloto, sobrevivieron, se mostraron líneas argumentales maestras y quedaron muchas preguntas abiertas.

Por otra parte, la experiencia fue positiva ya que pulí algunos puntos de mis reglas caseras("Rapido y Rabioso") , y por parte de los jugadores me suministraron algunos detalles importantes.(como que los ataques con una montura son letales de necesidad)

A los que jugaron la partida de las jornadas, sean llamados a las armas, y sean bienvenidos aquellos/as otros que deseen entrar a formar parte de la épica de Ardunia.

Just starting a wonderful week, where on Sunday I woke up with a very heavy sour throat, turning me into a mute person. Nothing like cold nights to break your health. And still mute on Monday :(

Yo en halloween.

Esta foto me la tomaron en el "Valhalla", local que se ha convertido en punto de reunión de mucho de los aficionados al rol y demás fauna "friki" en Palma de Mallorca. (¿será por los posters de Conan? mmmm)

Según la opinión y la edad, me disfracé de:
